Anniversary Package Covers Four Models
Volvo Trucks has unveiled the Volvo 100 Year Edition to mark the company’s upcoming centenary. The special package will be available for the Volvo FH Aero, FH, FH16 Aero and FH16, according to an official Volvo Trucks announcement.
Orders for the anniversary trucks will open in September 2026. Customers will be able to select most of the chassis configurations and drivelines currently offered across the four model ranges.
“The 100-year edition truck is a celebration of what we have achieved so far over the past century, and a very special truck,” Volvo Trucks Design Director Jonathan Disley said.
According to Disley, the design combines a modern premium interior with references to Volvo’s history and Swedish heritage.
Cab Receives New Materials and Lighting
The Volvo 100 Year Edition features redesigned two-tone seats. Premium leather is used for the seat base, while the upper section is finished in grey textile with an embroidered anniversary motif. Tan leather details complement the exterior striping.
The trucks also receive illuminated doorsteps and LED strips on the centre console. Drivers can select either red or white ambient lighting.
A welcome light projects the anniversary motif onto the ground when the cab door opens. The same design appears on newly developed 3D-printed speaker grilles.
The curtains display Volvo truck models from different periods of the company’s history. A thicker black-and-grey mélange floor mat with tan leather labels completes the interior package.
Electric, Gas and Diesel Drivelines Available
The special edition can be ordered with most of the drivelines currently available for the FH Aero, FH, FH16 Aero and FH16. It is therefore not limited to a single engine or propulsion technology.
Volvo has recently upgraded the electric, gas and diesel powertrains offered across the FH range. The changes are intended to improve performance, range, power and energy efficiency.
The 100 Year Edition is consequently positioned as more than a commemorative design package. The trucks remain configurable for commercial long-haul operations and other heavy-duty applications.
Four Configurations Hold Five-Star Euro NCAP Ratings
Four Volvo FH and FH Aero configurations have received the maximum five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP. They include the FH 4×2 tractor, FH 6×2 rigid, FH Aero 4×2 tractor and FH Aero 6×2 rigid.
The Volvo 100 Year Edition follows several earlier special releases, including the FH 25 Year Special Edition, FH Aero Euro NCAP Special Edition and Volvo Ocean Race Limited Edition.
