Huizhou Rongsheng Shipping, founded in 2008, specializes in the transportation of chemical products and petroleum products along China’s coastal shipping routes as well as the Yangtze and Pearl River systems. The Chinese shipping company is currently pursuing an active fleet modernization and expansion strategy. As part of these efforts, Huizhou Rongsheng Shipping has placed an order with Ligong Shipbuilding for the construction of four chemical tankers.
Under the terms of the contract, the shipyard will build two vessels with a deadweight of 25,900 tonnes and two additional tankers with a deadweight of 13,000 tonnes. Delivery of the new vessels is scheduled for 2027 and 2028.
The new order is expected to strengthen both companies’ positions in the domestic shipping market. For Ligong Shipbuilding, the contract marks another step forward in the development of its specialized vessel construction segment and the expansion of its overall order book.
