According to the General Administration of Customs of China, the country’s total trade in goods reached 25.47 trillion yuan during the first six months of 2026, marking a 16.9% increase compared to the same period last year. The figures highlight the continued resilience of China’s foreign trade sector and strong activity in both exports and imports.
Growth accelerated further in June, when the total value of imports and exports reached 4.78 trillion yuan, up 24.2% from June 2025. This represents one of the strongest monthly growth rates recorded in recent years.
The latest data underscore the resilience of China’s foreign trade despite ongoing uncertainty in the global economy. The continued expansion reflects strong international demand for Chinese products, as well as the gradual recovery of global trade activity.
