Preparations for the autumn harvest are underway in China’s Heilongjiang Province. Alongside traditional agricultural machinery, aircraft, helicopters and drones are being used to treat corn, soybean and rice fields and protect crops ahead of the harvest
Heilongjiang is one of China’s major grain-producing regions, where aircraft and drones are increasingly used to protect crops. Fields of soybeans, corn and rice are being treated from the air as the region prepares for the autumn harvest.
According to Xinhua, aerial operations are being carried out across areas managed by the Beidahuang Group. Agricultural aircraft and helicopters are treating crops, while specialized drones are being used to spray fields.
Heilongjiang is home to vast agricultural areas with fertile black soil and extensive rice fields. During preparations for the autumn harvest, aerial equipment makes it possible to quickly cover large areas and carry out necessary crop protection measures. Drones complement manned aircraft by providing more targeted treatment of individual areas.
Modern technologies have become an integral part of preparing one of China’s largest grain-producing regions for the autumn harvest.
