Amid disruptions in the global fuel market, China is ready to support Mongolia with stable supplies of petroleum products. Xi Jinping reaffirmed Beijing’s commitment to being a reliable energy partner for Ulaanbaatar.
According to CentralAsia, China is ready to help Mongolia maintain stable supplies of petroleum products amid continued volatility in the global fuel market. Chinese President Xi Jinping made the statement during a meeting with the Mongolian president on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Bishkek.
Khurelsukh thanked Beijing for the reliable supply of fuel and lubricants, which are of strategic importance to Mongolia’s economic stability. Xi Jinping confirmed that China will continue to serve as a reliable energy partner for Mongolia.
The two sides also agreed to expand cooperation in trade, infrastructure, energy and mining. Particular attention will be given to new areas, including environmentally friendly resource development, artificial intelligence and the digital economy.
Xi Jinping also called on Mongolia to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies and strengthen coordination between the two countries on international platforms.
