Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated that the progress achieved through previous negotiations had required considerable effort and should not be put at risk. According to him, all disputes must be resolved through political and diplomatic means, while the immediate priority should be securing a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire.

Beijing also warned that any further deterioration of the situation could have consequences extending far beyond regional security. Given the Persian Gulf’s strategic role in global energy supplies and international trade, a prolonged conflict could disrupt supply chains, increase volatility in energy markets, and place additional pressure on the global economy.

China further reaffirmed its readiness to continue diplomatic efforts aimed at ending hostilities, reducing regional tensions, and supporting the restoration of lasting peace and stability across the Middle East.
