The Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) has announced the appointment of Don Davis as its new Managing Director. He will take up the position on July 1, 2026, succeeding Karen Davis, who will remain with the organization through the end of June to ensure a smooth and effective leadership transition.
Davis joins OCIMF from Chevron Shipping, where he serves as General Manager of Global Marine Assurance. Over more than 30 years in the maritime sector, he has gained extensive experience in the operation of tankers, barges, marine terminals, and offshore vessels. He currently also serves as Chevron’s alternate representative on the OCIMF Executive Committee.
OCIMF Chairman Lambros Klaoudatos said the new Managing Director brings a unique combination of operational expertise, strategic vision, and deep industry knowledge. According to Klaoudatos, Davis’ long-standing involvement with the forum will help advance the organization’s mission of promoting maritime safety, environmental protection, and industry best practices.
Don Davis said he was honored to join OCIMF at a pivotal time for the maritime industry, as the global energy landscape continues to evolve. He added that he looks forward to supporting the organization’s work and contributing to the continued development of the international maritime community.
