The Turkish e-commerce sector continues to raise the bar for delivery performance. Two of the country’s largest online marketplaces, Trendyol and Hepsiburada, have announced new policies aimed at reducing order processing times and ensuring that products reach customers more quickly.

The changes primarily affect third-party sellers and form part of a broader strategy to improve service quality amid increasing competition in the e-commerce industry.

As of June 5, 2026, Trendyol has introduced a reduced service fee for merchants participating in its “Bugün Kargoda” (“Shipped Today”) program. Sellers who hand over eligible orders to courier services on the same day they are placed will benefit from a discounted service charge of 4.99 Turkish lira plus VAT.

The company expects this financial incentive to increase the share of same-day shipments, helping to shorten delivery times and improve the overall customer experience.

At the same time, Hepsiburada is tightening its fulfillment requirements. Starting July 16, 2026, the marketplace will reduce the maximum allowed time for sellers to transfer products to shipping carriers to just one day. This means merchants will be required to process and dispatch orders more quickly than before.

Industry analysts note that these measures reflect a broader trend across Europe and global e-commerce markets. Consumers increasingly expect deliveries within one or two days, making fulfillment speed a critical factor when choosing an online marketplace.

For logistics providers, the new rules will likely increase the volume of time-sensitive shipments and create additional demand for optimized warehouse operations, sorting centers, and transportation networks. At the same time, digital order management systems are becoming increasingly important for maintaining visibility and control throughout the fulfillment process.

Faster order processing is particularly important for international sellers and companies involved in cross-border e-commerce. The sooner a shipment enters the logistics network, the easier it becomes to offer competitive delivery times both within Turkey and across international markets.

The latest initiatives from Trendyol and Hepsiburada demonstrate that delivery speed is becoming one of the most important competitive advantages in online retail. In the coming years, similar requirements could become standard across the regional e-commerce industry, driving further investment in logistics infrastructure, warehouse capacity, and supply chain optimization.
