China and the Netherlands have agreed to strengthen economic cooperation and address commercial disputes through dialogue and consultations. Both sides will place particular emphasis on maintaining the stability of global semiconductor supply chains.

The agreement was reached during the 18th China–Netherlands Joint Economic and Trade Committee Meeting in Beijing, where officials discussed bilateral economic relations as well as the future of China–Europe trade cooperation.

According to He Yadong, spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Commerce, both governments are committed to creating a favorable business environment that enables companies to resolve disputes through consultation rather than confrontation.

Another key topic of discussion was the situation surrounding Nexperia, the overseas subsidiary of China’s Wingtech Technology. Beijing believes that constructive cooperation will help preserve the resilience of international manufacturing and logistics networks, which is particularly important for the global semiconductor industry.
