China continues to strengthen its position as one of the world’s leading players in robotics and artificial intelligence. According to industry research, more than 80% of all humanoid robots supplied to the global market are currently manufactured in China.
The country’s progress in this field was recently showcased during an unusual half marathon held on the outskirts of Beijing. Alongside thousands of human participants, more than one hundred humanoid robots took part in the race. One of the most notable competitors was a robot named “Lightning,” which successfully completed the course using a fully autonomous navigation system.
Experts note that China’s exports are becoming increasingly focused on high-tech products. Robots, artificial intelligence systems, smart devices, and advanced intelligent equipment are emerging as new drivers of growth, gradually replacing the traditional model based on large-scale manufacturing and low-cost production.
Today, China is home to more than 140 companies involved in the development and production of humanoid robots. Annual shipments exceed 14,000 units, accounting for approximately 85% of the global market. Industry specialists attribute this success to the country’s highly developed industrial base, robust supply chains, and significant investments in innovation and advanced technologies.
The continued growth of China’s humanoid robotics sector highlights the country’s ambition to strengthen its position in the global technology race and help shape the future of high-tech industries worldwide.
