Turkish company PascoGas has been linked to a major new order from HD Hyundai for the construction of four LPG carriers worth around $370 million. The buyer has not been officially identified, but industry sources point to the Turkish company.
Turkish company PascoGas has been linked to a major new order from South Korean shipbuilding group HD Hyundai. Under the 515.4 billion won ($370 million) deal, four gas carriers are set to be built.
The order was announced by HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HD KSOE), the shipbuilding holding company of HD Hyundai, although the buyer has not yet been officially identified. It is known only that the customer is a shipping company based in Oceania. Industry sources, however, have linked the project directly to Turkish company PascoGas. Delivery of all four vessels is scheduled for March 2030.
For PascoGas, the deal would mark a continuation of its cooperation with the South Korean shipbuilding group. HD Hyundai recently completed construction of the Pasco Yumiko, a large dual-fuel gas carrier with a capacity of 88,000 cubic meters, for the Turkish owner.
The new contract also strengthens the position of HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering. Including the latest deal, the company’s order book for 2026 has reached 162 vessels worth approximately $18.08 billion, representing 77.6% of its annual target.
However, PascoGas has not officially confirmed that it is the company behind the new order.
