While many multinational corporations are reassessing investment strategies and restructuring global supply chains, Coca-Cola is doubling down on China. Together with its bottling partners, the company has invested more than 2 billion yuan in the construction of two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Guangdong Province, underscoring its long-term commitment to the country’s economic growth.

In April 2026, Zhuhai Coca-Cola inaugurated a brand-new production plant worth 835 million yuan. Just one month later, Swire Coca-Cola opened a smart manufacturing base in Guangzhou after investing an additional 1.25 billion yuan. Both facilities feature automated warehouses and high-speed production lines capable of filling up to 90,000 cans and 63,000 plastic bottles per hour.

Coca-Cola now operates seven production facilities across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The company describes the region as one of its key centers for growth and innovation, viewing these latest investments as a foundation for further expansion amid rising consumer demand. According to Coca-Cola’s leadership, China remains one of the company’s most promising markets for long-term growth.
